I thoroughly enjoyed the author’s Death Edge Tales, and this sequel, Death Edge 2, is just as good.Again the characters come to life, and the vivid descriptions put you right there in the scene. So when the final twist comes, you feel it physically.
At the risk of sounding ancient, I’ll say that the stories remind me of Rod Serling’s Twilight Zone, at its best. I think my favorite story is “The Kelpie’s Gravestones.” I’d never even heard of a Kelpie before and found myself enchanted by her. A close second is “Just Bugs.” If you don’t like insects and spiders, this one will really creep you out.
As a bonus, we get the Prologue and Chapter 1 of the fourth volume of Rogers’ bestselling Dixie Flannigan novels.
I recommend Death Edge 2 to all lovers of suspense-filled short stories.
